Pain points
Subscription now required for previously free features
"Used this app for years now and have always loved it. I have only ever connected one personal account but now if I want to use it I need to pay for a full subscription with all the business features. No reason I shouldnt be able to connect and import one personal account to continue using the exact same features I always have. Totally understand it for business purposes, but super frustrating that one of my fav apps is now useless unless i pay $48"
New UI removes essential move/swap buttons
"I love certain features on the app. I just set up how I needed it and then it was updated and my favorite features removed. ... The only way to move things is to drag and drop. The other feature was being able to move things either all to the top or bottom by the feed in one click. Now I’ve already paid for the year and I want my money back because it no longer works."
Update erases pre‑planned content and grids
"The new update erased all my photos and planning. I don’t know if that grid is recoverable. I’ll update this review if emailing them does anything."
Feature removal makes batch planning impossible
"I used to be able to use features to plan out my feed batch upload and swap out photos to see what would look best but these features I used the app for have become obsolete with no warning. ... It’s a disappointment."
In‑app price hikes and per‑upload charges
"I’ve used this app for years, however, not only am I now paying up to $7 a month but now they want to charge me 57 cents per upload as they only allow 35 uploads a month. Insane. As a content creator this is not going to work. Just cancelled my subscription."
Complex login and account linking failures
"Hasn’t been working for days. Says to reconnect to Facebook but when I try it says error and the developer is aware of the issue. Paying for something I rely on and can’t use!!!"
Reduced ability to select multiple images
"I hate that I can no longer duplicate multiple image and replace mummies images on my grid. I also don’t like that I can’t save an image to my phone that is scheduled in my grid for later."
Removed color grid and hide post tools
"They got rid of the color grid so now you can’t see your feed based on color. You can’t quickly swap photos by clicking a button anymore, you have to individually move each and every photo around now."
Frequent forced sign‑ins and password reset loops
"The recent update required me to sign back in but keeps sending me on inefficient time wasting loops. I even had to change my password but the reset link in the email sent me on another fruitless loop."
Overall UI redesign is confusing and slower
"The new updated has removed so many useful buttons, made photos smaller and in general, it’s harder and confusing to use. ... It adds unnecessary steps and wastes time."
Bugs
App crashes and feeds fail to load
"Things take so much longer to load and the app always crashes out. The photos just won’t show up when you hit feed planner — so frustrating."
Instagram photos not displaying after linking
"I’ve used Unum for years. Unfortunately, for the past year it has been nothing but issue after issue. My IG account is linked, yet none of my images show up."
Login loops prevent access to the planner
"I can’t even login or swap my photos :( ... The link takes me to a page and tells me to download the app?! I already have the app!!"
Sync issues between website and mobile app
"The website and app don’t sync properly together anymore and to do one task is incredibly frustrating."
Repeated sign‑in prompts and permission resets
"It often is requiring me to log in again, reconnect channels... It is a cyclical hellscape. When it works, it’s fine. When it doesn’t, it’s incredibly disruptive."
Missing hide and swap features cause planning failures
"The hide feature is now gone? ... You can’t move the feed, you can’t hide posts, you literally can’t do anything but post a photo and that’s it…"
Praises
Company responsive to user feedback after update
"Here fixing my low star review after an update that many people hated and they literally asked me what I need back and did it. The “move down” button is back paper! Bravo!"
Long‑term loyal users still love core functionality
"My career in Bali started without any Instagram and one of the first apps I ever used 10 to 12 years ago is UNUM. I love so many things about it, it’s evolved through the years..."
Added YouTube channel integration appreciated
"Needed YouTube channel adding option. Thanks for your input, guys!"
